Built by a translator · for professional translators

Let AI do the research and the consistency checks.
You make the final call.

Y'AKASHA translates your Word, Excel and PowerPoint files with Anthropic's Claude, researches specialist terms and shows you its sources, checks the whole document against your glossary, and runs QA. Then it hands everything to you in a side-by-side bilingual editor. Nothing is exported until you approve it.

What it does

The tedious parts of the job, handled. The judgment stays with you.

Machine translation is only the first step. Y'AKASHA also does the checking work that specialist documents need before delivery.

01

Term research with sources

For industry-specific terms, the AI searches the web and gives you candidate translations with the sources it found. If it can't find a reliable source, it says so instead of guessing.

02

Glossary consistency checks

Save glossaries per client and language pair (bulk-import from an Excel bilingual list). After translation, the whole document is checked against them and inconsistent segments are retranslated.

03

Automatic QA

Flags glossary mismatches, number discrepancies, untranslated text and broken formatting, so they don't slip through.

04

You approve in the bilingual editor

Source and target side by side, with QA flags. Edit in place. The translated file can only be exported after you have reviewed and approved it.

05

Formatting preserved

DOCX, XLSX and PPTX come back in the same format with the original layout. Bold or colored text mid-sentence keeps its formatting, even between languages with very different word order.

06

Bilingual Excel export

Export a source/target table in Excel alongside, or instead of, the translated file. Useful for client review or your own records.

Term research

See why a term was translated the way it was, with sources.

Thorough terminology research often makes the difference between a good translation and a great one. It is also where hours disappear. Y'AKASHA searches in a fixed order of priority:

  1. The client's own website and official glossaries
  2. Websites of other companies in the same industry
  3. Industry media and specialist writers (not personal blogs)

When it isn't confident, it doesn't present a guess as fact. If there is no reliable source, it reports “no source found.” Choosing the final term is up to you.

NDA

Languages

Strongest in English↔Japanese. We say so up front.

Y'AKASHA was built by a Japanese–English translator, and English↔Japanese is the pair we have verified most thoroughly on real jobs. The other languages work, but have been evaluated less extensively.

Most extensively tested

English ↔ Japanese

Used by professional translators on real client jobs; this is the pair where accuracy and term research have been checked most closely.

Supported, less extensively evaluated

Other language pairs

Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), Korean, German, French, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Thai, Vietnamese, Burmese, Arabic, Tagalog

Any combination of the 14 languages is available. For pairs other than EN↔JA, please try a short sample during your trial and review the output carefully.

The $10/month fee (and the free trial) covers the Y'AKASHA software only. The AI processing runs on your own Anthropic API key, so Anthropic bills your Anthropic account separately based on usage (around $2 per 1,000 words; this varies depending on the document and how much terminology research is needed). To translate, you need an Anthropic API key and a payment method (prepaid credits) on your Anthropic account.

Get started in four steps
  1. Create an account

Sign up with your email address or Google account.

  2. Add your API key

Enter an API key from your own Anthropic account. How to get an Anthropic API key →

  3. Glossaries and style (optional)

Set up glossaries and style templates for each client and language pair.

  4. Translate, review, export

Upload a file, let the AI translate and run QA, then review in the bilingual editor and export.

Good to know

Your API key, your files, and current limits

  • Your own API key (BYOK). Your key is encrypted with Google Cloud KMS before it is stored. It is never stored or shown in plain text.
  • Model training. Anthropic states that, by default, it does not use API inputs and outputs to train its models (Anthropic Privacy Center, as of August 2026; exceptions apply, for example when you submit feedback).
  • Automatic deletion. Uploaded source files and translated outputs are deleted automatically after 60 days.
  • Confidential work. Whether you can use Y'AKASHA for work under an NDA depends on your agreement with each client. Please check before uploading.
  • File formats. DOCX, XLSX and PPTX, up to 30 MB per file. PDF uploads are currently not available. CAT tool formats (XLIFF, TMX, etc.) are not supported.
  • Speed. Documents with many specialist terms take longer, because each term is researched and checked.
